THE COMPLETE SEASON 1 (DESTINY CHILD GOSPEL MUSIC TALENT HUNT)PORT - HARCCOURT AUDITION

DAY 1 PORT-HACOURT ZONE AUDITIONS (14/08/2012) It's the third week of auditions for the Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt, and the train has finally arrived in the Garden city of Port-Harcourt, the city came alive as we arrived the venue of the audition L. A. King. To the surprise and admiration of the staff and crew, the venue was packed with eager contestants awaiting our arrival, not that we arrived late. Port-Harcourt was really going to be a zone with a difference as it was obvious these contestants were eager to activate their destiny. With contestants already outside the accreditation process took off immediately, as was the norm with the Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt, three audition rooms with our wonderful judges, set the stage for the Port-Harcourt zone day 1 pre-audition stage. With 262 accredited contestants in place, 3 audition rooms, 3judges, cameras, lights and it was action. A chance for these contestants to start their journey to discover which 4 people will represent the zone in DC City. A peculiar story was of a contestant that, for some reason missed all the auditions in venues close to him and had to travel all the way from Jos in Plateau state to Port-Harcourt for a chance to activate his destiny and I guess he was on the right track, as he made the list of 107 contestants that qualified for round two with our symbolic green card in his possession he was ecstatic.... A true story of destiny *smiles* At this point Port-Harcourt was already showing promises of destiny, well..... Port city! let's see what tomorrow has to offer. Children of destiny!!! its ........ DESTINY CHILD!!! ACTIVATING YOUR DESTINY......

DAY 2 PORT-HACOURT ZONE AUDITIONS (15/08/2012) Day 2 Port-Harcourt, showed signs of contestants being more at ease, as we got to the venue before the contestants did. Day two as usual would be in one studio, with all three judges evaluating the round 2 contestants together. Like with other zones, new contestants showed up, I could see faces of contestants I had seen in other zones, I later discovered that some contestants followed us all the way from Owerri and Makurdi to re-audition for a chance to get into DC City Lagos. The present number of contestants stood at 148 for the 2nd stage of Port-Harcourt zone auditions, the competition got fierce and the judges delivered. Like every competition, we got a very good doze of character and talents, Port-Harcourt had very emotional people as we saw a lot of tears rolling down faces, tears of joy and disappointment flowed. It was beautiful to see young people with so much passion for Gospel music, indeed the stage is set for a revolution in Gospel music... To God the Glory...... Contestants sang with passion and zeal, decisions were made based on a number of characteristics and in the end 53 contestants posed with green cards, "the joy of holding one of these cards can't be described" said one of the contestants. It's been an eventful 2 days in the Garden city of Port-Harcourt and contestants took every opportunity they got to draw inspiration from the judges who coincidentally are mentors to some of the contestants........ DESTINY CHILD!!! ACTIVATING YOUR DESTINY......

DAY 3 PORT-HACOURT ZONE AUDITIONS (16/08/2012) The final stage in Port-Harcourt was straight to business with all 53 semi-finalists being addressed by the project manager on what to expect from the judges. The contestants came in one after the other in a frantic effort to blow our judges away, it looked like Port-Harcourt contestants came with extra voices as what we heard on this day was totally different from what we heard over the past two days, it's always heard to watch these beautiful voice sent away as only four will make it to DC City. From 53 the number was cut down to 30, cutting the number further from 30 to 15 was no mean feat, as emotions ran high in the studio, with contestants pleading and some breaking down in tears and with heavenly voices but in the end we had 15 contestants and the final decisions were about to be made........ The 15 contestants were split into three groups of five each, each group was called in and contestants sang in front of their group mates, at the end of this sessions all five would be told their strength and weaknesses and amidst all of this tension and anxiety one person was chosen each from two groups and two people from the last group, giving us the four that would represent Port-Harcourt zone in DC City. The tears and screams that came from winners were indescribable, for those who missed this or were not chosen, well don't fret Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt will be back in your city again for season two, with God on our side..... Until then stay blessed.................. DESTINY CHILD!!! ACTIVATING YOUR DESTINY......
