DESTINY CHILD GOSPEL MUSIC TALENT HUNT is a nonprofit kingdom project designed to give talented Gospel music ministers a platform to showcase their creativity and launch them into professional music career aimed at spreading the gospel of JESUS CHRIST. The talent hunt offers a wide range of opportunities to young talented gospel music ministers to spread the gospel through music as well as carve a career niche for themselves in the Entertainment Industry.

Destiny child is a Gospel Music Talent Hunt conceived to redefine the act of gospel music in Nigeria. This is a new innovation in Gospel music designed to curb the relegation Gospel music ministers are subjected to in the entertainment sector. Destiny child is a divine mandate from God to amplify religious consciousness by developing, reorganizing and improving on the quality of gospel music and musicians in Nigeria. Statistically, 98% of secular artist were choristers who got career boost while singing in church choir, on their vocational assessment, they were certified as talented musicians, but lack of sponsorship within the Nigerian Christian community literally deprived them of the opportunity of exhaling in gospel music hence they subscribed to secular music.

The maiden edition (season 1) was in 2012 and also the first the gospel praise party in west Africa that gave gospel music a land mark in Nigeria, it attracted 7,391 participants drawn from 6 zones, Abuja, Makurdi, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Benin and Lagos. The participants went through a rigorous elimination process which left 16 qualified contestants participate in the weekly elimination shows and gain express ticket to Destiny Child (DC) City, a gospel music academy. The event had 13 episodes aired on AIT every Sunday 5pm to 6pm, from 5th October to 31st December 2012. Watched across Africa, Europe, Asia and USA, Destiny Child is fast becoming a household name. The second edition of this project kicked off in August 2013 with auditions in nine states in Nigeria (Abuja, Makurdi, Owerri, Port/Harcourt, Uyo, Asaba, Benin, Ekiti and Lagos).

Season 2 came to an end with outstanding performances from the finalists called "THE PROLIFIX". Joy Ebiem aka J'dess was crowned winner of Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt season 2. She won a brand new car, cash prize and record deal worth millions of Naira with Autograph Records. Hope Levi and EseQlic emerged as the 1st runner up and 2nd runner up respectively; they also won a record deal with Autograph Records. The 3rd edition of this project by the Grace of God will commence in November 2014.
